Frequently asked questions
Will fitting damage my roof or cause leaks?
No. We use chemical anchoring with EPDM gaskets on elevated structures and never puncture the waterproofing membrane. Leak-proof is guaranteed in writing.
How does net metering work?
A bi-directional meter records what you export and what you import. Your DISCOM nets the two each cycle, and surplus units carry forward or are paid out annually.
What happens during a power cut?
An on-grid inverter shuts off for line-worker safety. If you need power through outages, we pair a hybrid inverter with a battery bank for your essential loads.
Do panels work on cloudy days?
Yes — they run on daylight, not heat. Output drops to roughly 25–45% under heavy overcast, but annual yield stays dependable.
Can a factory claim subsidies?
PM Surya Ghar is residential only. Commercial sites instead get 40% accelerated depreciation in year one, GST input credit, and OPEX/RESCO funding options.
